Our CrossWalk Newport News campus currently meets at Real World Worship Center. It's located in the Sherwood Shopping Center on Warwick Boulevard. There is lot parking available directly in front of the storefront location. If you need anything during your visit, feel free to stop by the Connect Center. Or, just find anyone with a CrossWalk lanyard or name tag. We love meeting new people and are excited to serve you!
How long does a service go for and what can I expect?
Services last about 75 minutes. We start off with an enthusiastic and powerful time of worship. And end with a pastor sharing an encouraging sermon. If you want to see our preaching style, check out our sermons page.
If you’re visiting for the first time, you’ll want to give yourself a few extra minutes to stop by the Connect Center before or after the service. You are a very important person to us! We’d love to meet you.
Can I attend if I'm _____?
Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, single parent, broke, recovering addict, gay, atheist, skeptic, etc. Everyone is welcome at CrossWalk. So come as you are.
What time should I get to church?
Our service starts at 10:30am every Sunday morning, so you should arrive at least 15 minutes before the service so you have time to park your car, check-in your kids to Kidswalk, grab a cup of coffee, and find your seat in the auditorium.
What do you do for kids?
We love families! Kidswalk is a uniquely designed children’s ministry for babies - 5th grade where kids can experience Jesus on their level. We provide a safe and fun environment championed by amazing volunteers who all have background checks. Our secure Kidswalk check-in opens 15 minutes before service so you have time to get kids to their class with the help of our volunteers before the service begins. Don’t worry… we got this!
Do I have to pay to attend church, or will I be asked for money at any time during my visit?
Everyone is welcome! There’s never a cost to come to church whether it’s your first time or you come every week. As part of our service, we do take up an offering by passing baskets down the aisle. This is an opportunity for regular attendees to give out of free-will as an act of worship described in the Bible. Participating in this moment is a personal choice and many people will place nothing in the basket because they gave online, etc. Under no circumstances is anyone under compulsion to give. Whatever is comfortable for you!
What should I wear?
Don't feel like you have to dress up. Most people wear casual attire, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
Can I sit anywhere?
Yes! Auditorium doors open 10 minutes before the service. Our friendly host team will help you find a seat in any of the sections open for seating.
Do I have to bring anything?
We encourage everyone to bring a Bible and notepad for taking notes — not because the Pastor will say something worth writing down, but because when you approach the Word of God with expectation, we believe you’re bound to get some revelation!
Is there WiFi?
Fast WiFi is available for your convenience.
Are refreshments available?
We provide free coffee before and after every service. Our volunteers are happy to help serve you.
