Filmmaker / Content Creator / Social Media Manager (Full-Time)
As a Filmmaker, Content Creator, and Social Media Manager at CrossWalk Church, you will create and distribute content that inspires people to take next steps in their faith. This role owns both the creation and delivery of content—from idea to execution to publishing—while working closely with the Visual Media Director and Communications Team to ensure alignment, quality, and consistency.
General Responsibilities
Content Creation & Filmmaking
- Concept, write, shoot, and edit video content including church news, promos, testimonies, sermon highlights, podcasts, and more
- Develop creative direction and storytelling approaches in collaboration with the Visual Media Director
- Manage technical aspects of production including cameras, audio, lighting, and set design
- Handle post-production including editing, color, audio, and delivery formats
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to identify content opportunities tied to series, events, and key moments
Social Media Management & Distribution
- Manage and maintain church social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
- Plan, schedule, and publish content consistently across platforms
- Write engaging, clear, and value-driven captions and post copy
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with church initiatives and seasons
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust content strategy accordingly
- Stay current with platform trends and identify opportunities to increase reach and engagement
Strategy & Systems
- Help build and refine systems for capturing, editing, and distributing weekly content
- Contribute to developing repeatable workflows that ensure fast turnaround and consistent quality
- Collaborate on content ideas, formats, and strategies to expand reach and effectiveness
Team Collaboration & Development
- Partner with the Visual Media Director to recruit, train, and develop a volunteer content team
- Help implement clear standards, workflows, and expectations for content capture and delivery
- Support and equip volunteers to contribute effectively while maintaining quality and consistency
Must-Haves
- 1+ years experience in video production and content creation
- Strong portfolio (YouTube, Vimeo, or personal site)
- Proficiency in video editing (Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve)
- Working knowledge of social media platforms and content strategies
- Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion
- Strong storytelling instincts and creative problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and quality
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience managing or contributing to social media accounts for brands or organizations
- Experience with motion graphics, animation, or visual effects
- Photography experience
- Familiarity with analytics tools and performance tracking
- Experience working in a church or ministry context
- Comfortable working on both Mac and Windows systems
