Go out of your way in every way and do your part to the best of your ability. Be on time, engaged, and prepared to welcome people home. Be friendly in the parking lot. Open the door for every guest. Don't just point, but show people to their seat. Assist the mom with an unsettled child. Walk families to their Kidswalk classroom.
- Create a sense of family where people sit together and feel comfortable connecting to God and each other. (Using rope to close sections of auditorium)
- Facilitate people getting out of their seats (and comfort zones) to meet a new friend and greet guests. (Two-Minute-Turnaround)
- Encourage community and friendship over coffee before service begins. (Auditorium doors don't open until 10 minutes before the service)
You never know the circumstances of people coming through our doors.
"We're so glad you're here!"
Jesus came to SEEK and to save people. It’s not about us. It’s about others.
You can sit with us! There’s room for everyone in the family of God.
You never know how your interest and kindness can impact someone.
Ask questions like:How long have you been coming to CrossWalk? How did you find CrossWalk? How has your morning been so far? What do you do for a living? What are the rest of your plans today?
Every person is asking “what’s next?” wherever they are on their journey. You can help them take their next step. Say things like:How are you involved?I work with Kidswalk. It's so fun and there is always room for more people. We'd love to have you on the team! Why don't you join me?You should come with me to Sisterhood!
“I was GLAD when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.” - Psalm 122:1
Let your disposition show that Sundays are the best day of the week!
Be vocal with honor and not stingy with your words. Thank people. recognize people. submit to spiritual authority, care for people God has placed under you, give credit where credit is due, and show respect to people no matter their season of life. Honor empowers people to rise.
Welcoming people into God’s House loses value if we don’t give people the opportunity to be welcomed into God’s family. Everything in the service leads up to the Altar Call. There should be no moving around in this moment and believers should be praying that people in the service will respond.
